One Night
(An analysis)
The elegy discusses paranormal occurrences that only occur in the author's head since she is thought of as the deceased person's wife. Given how quickly their child grew up and got married, it is assumed that the death happened a long time ago. The author could still picture her late husband's routine agenda moving through their home in every direction. Additionally, she pictured her husband touching him as though he were still alive. Every scene described in the elegy was nothing more than a delusion.
Both the author and the characters appeared to be elderly. She wrote a strange elegy compared to other writers because she yearned for her husband's adoration. However, because he employs exaggeration to convey heightened imagination, the work's style is outstanding and distinctive.
